10 MTV Inspired Crazy Tattoos

Because tattoos are a lifelong commitment, it's best to get ink of something you love, whether that's your girl's name, Tony Danza's face or an homage to your favorite TV network. Let's say MTV is your favorite TV network, which it obviously is. Well, there are more ways than you can possibly think of to honor it in tattoo form.
We've rounded up 10 for you, from a quirky girl with a Daria tat to the holiest of all grails, the dual Beavis and Butthead tattoo. Take a gander at some of the finest body art MTV has ever inspired below and then start thinking about which body part you'd like to become the permanent home of Jesse Camp's face.

1. Beavis and Butthead Feet
It's not talked about a lot, but it is in fact true: Beavis and Butthead were the most important music critics of the 90s. Their withering contempt was something to behold (on indie-rock gods Pavement: "They're too lazy to rock and too lazy to clean the tub." "These guys are so lazy they probably take a dump in the tub") but it was their sheer joy brought out by heavy metal that we miss the most.

2. Beavis and Butthead Bros
Despite their occasionally dysfunctional relationship, it's important to remember that the boys were best friends. Psychologists have discovered that in the male-dyad friendship, one friend functions as the Beavis, the other as the Butthead. It's probably best to clearly define who is who, preferably with tattoos. This way, you'll know exactly which role to play when you're hanging out with other dudes in your underwear.

3. Beavis and Butthead Headbanging
There's something to be said for the classics: the headbanging, air guitar-playing, devil sign-throwing Beavis and Butthead. While on the show, Beavis was usually wearing a Metallica shirt and Butthead an AC/DC one, so we're just going to assume that this guy prefers Sabbath and Maiden. We don't think the guys would mind.

4. Beavis and Butthead Mooning
Along with metal, Beavis and Butthead loved their classic teenage pranks. Take, for example, mooning. What better way is there to show absolute contempt than showing someone your ass? And what better way to show your appreciation of the art of mooning than a tattoo of it on your chest? And it's on a girl! B&B would appreciate that. Heh heh. Heh.

5. Beavis and Butthead Mooning Again
Maybe there is one way to improve a Beavis and Butthead mooning tattoo, and that's to get the image on one's ass. This way, mooning begets mooning; creating a continuously smaller moon to be unpacked, like Russian dolls. Way to go, guy!

6. The MTV Logo
Riff Raff, of MTV's "From G's to Gents," showed a lot more network love than most by getting the iconic MTV logo tattooed on his neck. It wasn't enough for him to win the show (he will, forever, remain a G and not a Gent), but it did win our undying admiration.

7. Yo! MTV Raps Logo
One of the first major national hip-hop shows, "Yo! MTV Raps" converted a generation. Doctor Dre (not that one) and Ed Lover spread the word around the world, and now this fine gentlemen is helping carry on their legacy.

8. Steve-O on Steve-O
The dudes on "Jackass" pulled a lot of idiotic/brilliant stunts in their day, some successful, some a pain in the balls, some both. And as any fan knows, much of the most cringe-inducing stunts were performed by Steve-O, a legend when it comes to hurting oneself for the amusement of others. So honoring Mr. O with a portrait on one's back seems completely appropriate. The fact that it's Steve-O himself who sports this tattoo only makes it better.

9. Sifl and Olly's Friend Chester
Chester, sidekick and announcer of Liam Lynch's short-lived cult classic "The Sifl and Olly Show," is an impressive tat. It's obscure, but anyone who knows the brilliance of the show will be impressed. Plus, Chester got all the ladies, and so this guy will too.

10. Daria and Jane
Daria, the sarcastic Debbie Downer of her day, acted as a voice for every girl (and boy!) who was too smart not to know how stupid everyone else was. A tattoo of the booted Miss Morgendorffer and her BFF Jane Lane shows that this person hasn't forgotten the days of teenage torture.

Batumi Aquarium

In the beautiful Georgian port city Batumi will be built brilliant "Batumi Aquarium". This fairytale building will be entirely devoted to the underwater world. Aquarium is designed in the form of pebbles, which cover the beaches in Batumi. There will be four pebble-shaped structures, each housing an exhibition space representing an unique marine biotype – the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, the Indian ocean, the Black and Red seas and an interactive exhibition. All pebbles will be connected by a central space, which will contain cafe, auditorium and retail areas. This stunning concept was developed by Danish architect studio Henning Larsen Architects. And studio have won the first prize of Architects University Kolding.

Top 10 Amazing Master Origami Artists

When a paper craft artist looks at a blank sheet of paper, they see a world of possibility in three dimensions.  While the rest of us are scribbling notes, to-do lists or random doodles, these artists are forging works of architecture, machines, animals and the abstract.  To celebrate the work of some of the world’s greatest
paper craft artists, here is the compiled collection of ten amazing paper folders– and some of their career’s best work.  Trust us, you’ve never seen origami like this before…

 Star Wars Paper craft Art
star-wars-papercraft_at-at
Fans of both Star Wars and paper craft should rejoice, as many of the classic vehicles of Star Wars have been reborn in paper.  Take the AT-AT Walker above– this battlefield Hoth monster has been redesigned in paper to protect your desk while you are up and away.  The Star Wars Paper craft Art series spans many vehicles from the films, including the Millennium Falcon, the AT-ST, the Tie Fighter and more.  Check out the gallery below for a closer look… [link]

Hole-OnEx DIY Paper craft Pinhole Camera
hole-on-ex_diy-pinhole-camera_2
If you ever plan on experimenting with pinhole photography, why not do it in style?  The Hole-Onex DIY Pinhole Camera makes your pinhole experiments as stylish (and fun) as possible.  Just fold this paper into the form of the Hole-Onex, aim it at your preferred subject, open the shutter and snap it shut– you’ve got a lush Lomo-style photograph from a camera you built yourself… out of paper, nonetheless.  [link]

 Won Park Dollar Bill Origami
won-park_dollar-koi
Won Park is a special breed of paper craft artist who uses printed money as his palette.  To his colleagues and himself, Won Park is a “money folder”, and his brilliant, compelling sculptures are built with the American dollar bill, not an 8.5″/11″ sheet of legal paper.  Mr. Park folds his money into beautiful forms, like the koi fish shown above, as well as the tank and camera in the gallery below.  While “money folders” may be a rare offshoot from the art of paper craft itself, his work earns an important place in this list of amazing paper craft art.  Helen Musselwhite Paper craft Dioramas
helen-musselwhite_butterfly
With just a quick glance at her work, papercraft artist Helen Musselwhite is clearly a passionate perfectionist.  Her papercraft dioramas spare no mistake, no miscalculation and no poor material.  Mrs. Musselwhite’s work represents the spirit of nature in a paper diorama, with the animal world alive and busy amidst her art.  The sheer detail and spacial awareness of Musselwhite’s papercraft is truly a thing to behold… [link]

 Dan McPharlin Vintage Synthesizer Papercraft
dan-mcpharlin_paper-music-gear_1
Dan McPharlin uses his art to exercise two strong passions in his life– one for papercraft, another for classic vintage synthesizers.  As we here at TheCoolist have a profound respect for both, McPharlin’s art has a sentimental value for us.  This artist folds paper of different color and style to form the keys, knobs, faders and forms of classic synthesizers which shaped the progress of music in this century and the last.  The Moogs, Korgs, Arps and Rolands of the 70s are alive again today in paper thanks to the brilliant work of a dedicated fan, Mr. Dan McPharlin himself.  [link]

 Ingrid Siliakus Papercraft Architecture
ingrid-siliakus_palace
Papercraft artist Ingrid Siliakus does not miss a detail.  Her work rebuilds some of the world’s most recognizable architectural wonders– and also forges some of her very own.   With an eye for symmetry and passion for clarity, Siliakus folds paper to create amazingly lifelike representations of classic architecture.  Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Bilbao, a palace in Madrid and other abstract works grace her portfolio– which is large enough to warrant hours of pleasurable scrutiny… [link]

 Bert Simons Papercraft Sculpture Portraits
bert-simons_papercraft-sculpture-portraits_1
Life-like, line-heavy and decidedly creepy, the art of Bert Simons is truly unique.  Mr. Simons crafts brilliant sculpture portraits with paper, printed from actual photographs and rebuilt in busts that resemble the real thing in a rather disturbing way.  Simons’ work reflects the digital representation of humans from the early part of this decade– in games, digital films and otherwise.  If you’re one of the few to have your face rebuilt in paper by Bert Simons, we can only imagine trying to sleep at night with a copy of yourself watching from across the room.  Shaz Madani Papercraft Typefaces
shaz-madani_paper-typefaces_1
Instead of printing his refreshing typefaces on paper, artist Shaz Madani creates his typefaces with paper.  Madani’s papercraft art leaps off the blank page in three dimensions, using the paper itself to carve out his solid works.  While the typefaces he creates are technically simple and bold, it is the execution and styling of these fonts that separates his work from the rest.  Check out the gallery below, turn a new leaf, draw a wild card to catch up with the current thinking of Mr. Madani himself. Peter Callesen Subtractive Papercraft Sculptures
peter-callesen_on-the-other-side
Peter Callesen is truly a master of papercraft, creating realistic three-dimensional sculptures from a single sheet of paper.  His art is “subtractive”, in that he builds structure from two-dimensional space and leaves the scraps behind (that is, what little isn’t used in his art forms).  Callesen will carve a single sheet of paper– and from the carvings create a full-sized skeleton falling from the paper itself, while leaving a dead tree in its’ paper wake.  His art must be seen to be believed, and it would take more than these images to provide justice to his genius.  Richard Sweeney Geometric Papercraft
richard-sweeney-papercraft_1
Paper folder Richard Sweeney exhibits an unparalleled passion for geometry and symmetry in his works.  His paper art curves and folds into itself to create elaborate shapes that seem impossible to build with something as simple as paper.  When looking at his art, you’ve got to imagine– what if one fold goes wrong?  It appears to be back to the drawing (folding) board, as Sweeney’s works show no mistakes, no flaws and nothing more than paper perfection.
